Among the exhibitors were several important Czech companies such as Czechoslovak Group (CSG), Česká zbrojovka / Colt CZ Group, Meopta, ANV or Laugo Arms.
Among other things, Meopta presented a new generation of hunting riflescopes, which have a number of improvements such as completely redesigned horizontal and vertical rectification.
Holding Czechoslovak Group presented its portfolio of Fiocchi, in which it acquired a majority stake in 2022, at the SHOT Show. At their booth we could see a presentation of ammunition for various applications including the increasingly demanded green ammunition. David Stepan, Managing Director of the Ammo+ division, under which Fiocchi falls, commented on this.
The biggest novelty of the Czech Arms Factory or Colt CZ Group was the new CZ 600 MDT rifle. These are new sporting specials created by combining the cutting-edge CZ 600 system with the sophisticated chassis of the renowned MDT brand. These rifles are equipped with a rich Picatinny, M-LOK and Arca Swiss rail mounting interface, ambidextrous controls, integrated barricade stop and AR-15 compatible stock and pistol grip. The specific steel bolt housing allows the use of MDT AICS 10-round magazines only, equipped with the proprietary CZ feeder for reliable operation even when manually inserting a round into the chamber through the ejection window.
The knife manufacturer, Acta Non Verba (ANV), brought with it to SHOT Show, in addition to its standard portfolio, several new products, such as the new P250 knife or the M500 KAMBA.
We also stopped by Laugo Arms, the manufacturer of the well-known Alien sport pistols, which are very popular on the American and Czech market. At the presentation stand, Michal Štěpán, the production director, introduced us, for example, the new version of the Alien Creator pistol.
This year's SHOT Show once again showed that there is still a lot to discover on the market of guns, outdoor and hunting and we are already looking forward to the next edition.
