A few days ago, the new tactical recovery and evacuation vehicle TREVA-30, which is based on the proven Tatra Force 8x8 chassis, was presented at the Eurosatory trade fair in Paris, which is dedicated to the defence and security sector. Conceptually and generationally, it is a completely new recovery vehicle of Czech provenance.

The vehicle is equipped with an armoured four-door cab of the same type as the new MORANA howitzer and can accommodate not only the driver and operator but also the crew of the towed vehicle. The TREVA-30 has a winch with a basic pull of 25 tonnes and a twin winch crane with a capacity of 30 tonnes, on the development of which EXCALIBUR ARMY cooperated with ČKD Slaný. To move cars, armoured wheeled vehicles and other equipment, the TREVA-30 uses a hydraulic fork installed in the rear of the vehicle.

Another tool that the TREVA-30 has at its disposal is a plough and the vehicle also has a winch that can tow an object weighing up to 50 tonnes.

The TREVA-30 is powered by a nearly 400 kW engine. The Tatra Force 8x8 chassis gives the vehicle unique manoeuvrability even in the most difficult terrain.

This is a very important category of vehicle designed for when the Army has to take care of equipment that cannot continue to operate, whether due to technical failure or damage caused by the enemy. The TREVA-30 is then used to enable such a vehicle to be moved to the rear and subsequently repaired.

TATRA TRUCKS from Kopřivnice has also introduced a world novelty in the form of a military heavy truck of the proven Tatra Force 8x8 series, which is equipped with a completely new armoured cab with ballistic and mine resistance level 3 according to STANAG standards. The cab has been developed and manufactured by our partner company TATRA DEFENCE VEHICLE. TATRA TRUCKS supplies mainly the Tatra Force and Tatra Tactic model series to the armed forces, but the new product on display proves that the Tatra Phoenix model series is also becoming increasingly popular in this area.
